Who is Life Coaching for?

Great question! Anyone who wants to change. Anyone who looks at their life and thinks “this used to work but it’s not working now”. Anyone who wants their life to be better, and better is whatever that person wants it to be.

What is the value of Life Coaching? Another great question! When a client starts life coaching with Julie it is usually because the client has identified an issue in their life they want to change. The client is the expert in their life and it is Julie’s role as a life coach Minneapolis MN to help them look at and identify wrong assumptions, limiting beliefs, negative self talk and procrastination and avoidance. When a client is willing to look at the issues in their life, and through self exploration, they start connecting the dots in their life.

If you are wondering would Julie be a good fit for you, just reach out to her. Potential new clients can complete the form here on her website, they can email her at: julie.beneke@gmail.com or they can call her at 612.875.2577. The first step in becoming a new life coaching client of Julie’s is contacting her and scheduling a free fifteen minute consultation. The consultation will be done over Zoom. Currently, Julie is offering new clients their first two sessions for free.

The best part of life coaching is when a client has those AH-HA moments in their sessions. The client, through self exploration, starts to look at why they have the assumptions they have, how a limiting belief could be holding them back, how negative self talk (their Inner Critic) can actually help and/or protect them and what is really underneath and behind their procrastination and avoidance. That is the power of life coaching!

Surprisingly, many people do not believe that life coaching would be a fit for them. That is a mindset that Julie as a life coach Minneapolis MN deals with on a regular basis. The mindset of “I’m not enough” is very prevalent in Julie’s life coaching clients. Not enough what? Not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, thin enough, rich enough and/or successful enough.

Where does that mindset or limiting belief come from? Also a great question! That really is an issue of self worth or self value. Many people think that life coaching would be a great fit, but not until they are a little bit more “enough”. Now, that might sound a little crazy (and it is) because the whole idea of life coaching is to help someone be an overcomer. If a person has everything together, they do not need help overcoming.

When a potential new client reaches out to Julie to learn more about her life coaching services, she lets them know that they will do a quick 15-20 minute initial free consultation. It’s surprising how many people are resistant to even having a 15 minute consultation. Julie asked a client where that mindset came from for them. The client responded “I do not believe that I’m worth it. I think I’m associating life coaching with being a high powered executive that runs a multi million dollar company. It’s just little old me. Why am I worth life coaching?”

Many times a client will hire Julie as their life coach Minneapolis MN to deal with and work on a specific issue; maybe wanting to be more productive at work. Very quickly the underlying issue of self worth or value comes up. The power of life coaching really comes through when a client is willing to look at their own self worth or value. Those sessions are very powerful when the client leans into and explores some long held limiting beliefs, and, more importantly, some wrong assumptions about their worth and value.

That is the power of life coaching! When a client looks at why they process things the way they do or how they see themselves. Through a series of powerful questions, Julie’s role as a life coach Minneapolis MN is to help facilitate change for the client. Asking a client what they are learning about themselves through the life coaching process or how they are feeling about the wrong assumptions they are uncovering about themselves are so powerful.

Another powerful aspect of life coaching is helping the client identify and quiet their Inner Critic; that negative self-talk that many, many people deal with. She recently had a client tell her that their inner critic sounded an awful lot like their father. Their father was very critical and questioned everything in the client’s life. By leading the client through a specific exercise regarding the inner critic, Julie as a life coach Minneapolis MN was able to help the client see some positive aspects of their inner critic. Their inner critic was protecting them from making quick or foolish decisions. The client was able to quiet the inner critic and to see the inner critic in a new light; one that was much more positive. In future sessions, the client was able to partner with their inner critic to make better decisions. That’s the power of life coaching!!!

Julie’s life coach Minneapolis MN clients often think they are the only one with a specific issue and that there probably is not a solution for them. Why would they think this way? Because that is how they have always thought. That mindset is a part of them. And they are unsure of how to change.

Julie highly encourages anyone who is considering life coaching to just reach out to her via the contact form here on her website, to email her or call/text her. She offers a free 15-20 minute consultation via zoom. Julie’s current offer is the first two sessions are free for new clients. This is a great way to see if Julie and the client will be a good fit. It also gives the potential new client an opportunity to have a few questions answered regarding what life coaching is all about.
