Helping women who were promised a fairytale life. . . . . actually get it

Heading 1

WELCOME

Have you ever thought “I did not get the life that I was promised in my 20’s”.  How many women have discovered that they were told that they could have it all: a great marriage, the perfect family and a highly successful career. And, if they didn’t have that, they were just doing it wrong.

I help women identify and overcome the fear of changing what isn’t working in their marriage, family and career.

Here are some misconceptions and limiting beliefs you might be familiar with:

Things will never change/this is how my life will be forever

I’m too old

What will people think?

Can this really be happening?

When will the other shoe drop?

I coach women who want the fairytale life but thought it is no longer possible. Well guess what, it is!

What does a life coach do? What is Life Coaching? Great Question! Life Coaching is a professional, working relationship between the life coach and their client. The goal is to help the client be more self-aware, to increase learning of and about oneself and to identify, set and accomplish meaningful goals. How is this accomplished? By asking our clients a series of powerful questions which helps the client look internally to draw out meaningful insights. Life coaching is so effective because it trusts the process and the client as the expert in their life.

Good Seeds Life Coaching, as a Life coach Minneapolis MN, is focused on helping our clients explore their assumptions, perspectives, limiting beliefs, negative self-talk (the inner critic), values and passions, systems and motivational styles.

Central to the practice of a life coach Minneapolis MN is the reliance on three main TRUSTS: Trust the client, trust the life coach Minneapolis MN, trust the process.

Trust the client:  In life coaching, we empower our clients to set the topic to discuss, we give them the freedom to explore and determine the direction of the session and design the action steps/items they want to work on in between sessions.

Trust the Life Coach Minneapolis MN: During a life coaching session, we ask our clients a series of powerful questions design to raise our client’s awareness of what might be holding them back or keeping them stuck. Sometimes the questions can be uncomfortable but because the life coach Minneapolis MN trusts the client, guide them to hard areas can be very beneficial.

Trust the Process: Seeing a life coach can seem like a daunting task without proper context.  The client is the expert in their life and by creating a safe and comfortable environment, they are often able to deeply explore what is keeping them stuck in their life.

There are seven essential life coach Minneapolis MN qualities that Good Seeds Life Coaching embodies: Professional, Empathic, Empowering, Curious, Courageous, Confident and Inspiring.

  • Professional: The central aspects of Professionalism in Life Coaching are clear expectations between the life coach and the client, maintaining confidentiality and being accountable.

  • Empathetic: Life coach Minneapolis MN listens to our clients, using level 2 listening, staying engaged and using their intuition while watching for shifts in our clients emotions.

  • Empowering: At Good Seeds Life Coaching, we believe our clients are the experts in their own lives. Through a series of powerful questions, we help bring out the expert in our clients.

  • Curious: Being curious about what the client is dealing with is a main function of Life Coaching. By asking Why, What and How questions is the main way a Life Coach Minneapolis MN helps our clients.

  • Courageous: Life coaching is work, for both the life coach Minneapolis MN and the client.  It is a priority for Good Seeds Life Coaching to help our clients look at and deal with difficult issues by creating a safe space for our clients.

  • Confident: As stated above, life coaching is work, both for the client and the life coach Minneapolis MN. By inviting the client to do much of the exploration work, the coach is setting up the clients to grow in their confidence to overcome hard issues.

  • Inspiring:Inspiration is essential in a life coaching session. When clients discover inspiration within themselves in a session, they can use it to power a phenomenal self-development journey.

It is of the utmost importance that Good Seeds Life Coaching reflects these essential coaching qualities for our clients.  It is through these coaching qualities that life coach Minneapolis MN have a great impact for our clients.

Assessment Tools that can be utilized during a life coaching session:

Wheel of Life: this tool is used, usually, early on in the life coaching journey.  It’s a snap shot of the client’s life. It’s a visual tool where the client will rate, from great to poor, specific areas of their life including, but not limited too, career, relationships, health, recreation, spirituality and family.

Core Motivations: This tool is based on the Enneagram and designed to identify meaningful insights and create self-awareness for the client. They help a life coach Minneapolis MN assess how the client processes and to determine which core motivation resonates with the client the most.

Assumptions Chart: An assumption is something that a person believes that hasn’t been tested or proven. Helping our clients see the assumptions they have in their life can really help them pivot to a new way of thinking and doing. As a life coach Minneapolis MN, we utilize the Negative Assumption chart as well as the Positive Assumption chart.

Perspectives: In life coaching, we are looking to help the client identify root causes of ineffectiveness or “being stuck”. The Perspective exercise is a great tool to help clients do just that. The life coach Minneapolis MN will start the client looking at a specific situation and then explore their default perspective.  Then, by asking a series of powerful questions, the life coach Minneapolis MN will help the client pivot to a different perspective. This exercise is done over and over again until the client feels comfortable with the new perspective they have uncovered.

Values and Passions: Life coaching is all about uncovering insights for our clients. Looking at their values and passions speaks to who they are at the core and what is most important to them. By looking at specific and challenging situations through the lens of values and passions, a life coach Minneapolis MN can help guide the client identify which values or passions are being compromised in their life.

Systems: One of the most common things that a client wants to work on is getting more organized in their life. They find themselves completely run ragged at the day of the day. Often, a client will say “I feel like I’m on a hamster wheel and I can’t get off”. Systems are a great solution for people with this issue. Systems only work if the client is willing to change. A life coach Minneapolis MN will help identify the areas in the client’s life where systems will be effective and long lasting.  But, it’s up to the client to implement the system.

Future Self: This is a great and fun tool! And it’s exactly what it sounds like: the life coach Minneapolis MN takes the clients through an exercise in which the client “meets” their future self.  The client gets to determine how far in the future they go; maybe 6 months, maybe 6 years. The insights gained from speaking to your future self are very powerful!

Inner Critic: This is in the top 5 of powerful tools used to help a client identify the negative inside voice that can rule their life. The goal of the Inner Critic tool is to help a client create new ground rules in which they interact with that negative inside voice. A main key to long-term success in dealing with the Inner Critic is to have the client identify its purpose in their life and to, if possible, see the positive aspects of the Inner Critic.

As a Life Coach Minneapolis MN, Good Seeds Life Coaching is committed to trusting our clients, trusting the life coach Minneapolis MN and trusting the process.

Why is Good Seeds Life Coaching effective as a life coach Minneapolis, MN? Because everyone loves a good listener, and that’s the main function of a life coach.  To listen to our clients. So what is Life coaching? Life coaching is a professional relationship between a coach and their client. Life coaching is like a snapshot in time where a client wants to work on a specific issue in their life. Some issues that we often see in life coaching are changes in career, relationships, health and finances. Basically, any change or transition that a person would be facing as a general fact of life. Life coaching is always looking forward to the future.

One on one life coaching sessions are designed to help the client explore in a safe environment. Julie’s clients have the freedom to explore areas that they may never have looked at before. One of the powerful questions she often asks her clients is “how does it feel to say that out loud?” That truly is a powerful question. And one that brings great reflection from Julie’s clients.

Is life coaching the same as therapy and/or counseling? Great question. No. Life coaching is not the same as therapy or counseling. In fact, it’s very different. As stated above, life coaching is looking toward the future.

Therapy and counseling usually focus on past issues, such as childhood trauma. Do past issues, like childhood trauma, come up during one on one coaching sessions? Yes, they can. However, a life coach is not qualified to deal with issues like childhood trauma. In these cases, the life coach will refer the client to a qualified therapist or counselor.

As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie works with all types of people, including both men and women. The common denominator for all of Julie’s clients is that they want to change something in their life.

Oftentimes, a person will seek out Julie as a life coach Minneapolis MN, because something has changed in their life, such as, a difficulty in their job or marriage, a change in finances, a physical move to a new city, being an “empty nester”, starting a business, getting divorced or retiring.

What has you feeling stuck in your life? What’s one thing you’d like to change? If you had a miracle happen overnight, what would be different in your personal or professional life?

These are what we call “powerful” questions in the life coaching world.  They are questions that are designed to help our clients open up to deep explorations in their life.

As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie's role is to help her clients find the solution that already exists inside of them and she is passionate about coming alongside her clients to help them rediscover their passion and purpose. This can be done through a series of one on one coaching sessions.

Julie, primarily, conducts her coaching sessions via zoom. Her clients know that this is a safe space and that what is said in the sessions, stays in the sessions.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the governing body that ensures the coaching standards and code of ethics for life coaches who have completed their certification with an IFC accredited program. Julie completed her ICF accredited program with Coach Training EDU in March 2026.

Because the core of life coaching is to help a client find the solution that is already inside them, that’s what Julie, as life coach Minneapolis MN, does when she is life coaching.

So why would someone want to consider life coaching? Are there benefits? Yes! Absolutely. One of the main benefits of life coaching is personal growth and healing. Life coaching is an excellent tool to look at one’s self to see where changes can be made.

Life coaching is deeply personal as it looks at every aspect of a person’s life. Oftentimes a client will seek out Julie as a life coach Minneapolis MN for one particular area of their life, for example, a career change. But, after a few sessions and deep exploration, through a series of powerful questions, the client realizes that they have some wrong assumptions or limiting beliefs where their job is concerned. The two are definitely related, but the real issue is the limiting beliefs. Once the client starts to explore their limiting beliefs in one area, they can also explore limiting beliefs in other areas of their life.

Will Julie, as a life coach Minneapolis MN, solve a client’s problems? No. That is not the role of a life coach. Julie does not believe that her clients are broken, so she also does not believe that her clients need to be fixed. Julie believes that her clients already have the needed solution within them.  Her role is to help them find that solution. And that is where one on one life coaching shines.

What is a misconception about a Life Coach Minneapolis MN? That life coaching is exactly the same as productivity coaching. Now, does life coaching play a part in productivity coaching? Yes. But Life Coaching is vastly different from productivity coaching. Productivity is a benefit of life coaching, but life coaching is not part of productivity coaching. A productivity coach is going to hold a person accountable regarding the activity level of specific tasks they should be doing to increase or grow their business.  A life coach is going to explore why a person procrastinates or the negative self-talk that they have used their whole life. A life coach Minneapolis MN works with their clients to look inward and uncover why they do what they have always done.

Here is a good example of a life coach verses a productivity coach (or business coach). A small business owner wants to increase the number of sales for their business.  They would use a productivity or business coach to map out the tasks needed to increase sales, ie, generate leads. The productivity coach would then hold the business owner accountable regarding the completed weekly tasks, ie, calls made, emails sent, leads followed up on. A life coach, in contrast, is going to help the business owner explore why they will not make the necessary calls to generate leads or why they will not set up a system to follow up on leads in order to close more deals.

The life coach is going to help the client explore their limiting beliefs, wrong assumptions, need to procrastinate or avoidance in order to overcome those issues and establish long term change. That is the power of life coaching.

Have you ever been a part of a support group, book club or sports team? Most people have. Why? Because people want to belong to something. They want to know they are not the only one going through a specific issue. When people are part of a great group, they can lean on others and learn from those who have overcome what they are currently facing. Group life coaching serves this purpose. Group coaching sessions follow the same guidelines as one on one coaching sessions. What is said in group, stays in group.

People sometimes need other people to come alongside them. People do not want to feel like they are on an island. When Julie became a life coach Minneapolis MN, she knew she wanted to create a safe group session space for people to share and grow and learn from other successful people. She has online group options as well as in person group options.

It might sound crazy, but being part of a great group, where people know your “stuff” can be where some of the greatest breakthroughs come from. Especially if the group participants do not initially know each other. Julie can attest to this personally when she joined a Christian based support group for women with family members in addiction. The group was in person and averaged 6-8 women on any given week. Julie quickly came to love the other women in the group as they all had common issues (family members with addiction issues). The women of the group trusted each other and learned from each other. One week, someone might be dealing with boundary issues and the group would offer suggestions on things that worked for them. Another week, someone might be dealing up betrayal or trust issues. Again, the group was there to listen and provide suggestions or to be a sounding board. The best groups are those that support all members, no matter what the issues are.

Sometimes feeling stuck, adrift, passionless or just plain lost is a sign that what worked in the past is not working now. As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie discovered that this is the power of group life coaching. It is helping people rediscover their passion, get unstuck and be part of a productive community.

But, what if there are other people out there that have overcome some of the same issues that you are facing in your life? What if they are clear across the country? Have you ever thought that talking with other people about the issues faced in life today might be helpful, but you did not really want your friends and family to know? That is more common than one would think.

Before Julie was a life coach Minneapolis MN, she came from the corporate world where she was an operations manager. Her degree is in business management and she has always wanted to develop her team members to be the best they could be.  She was very fortunate to have a great mentor at her first “real” job out of college. Her mentor taught her that “when your team is doing well, you praise them.  When things are not going well, you stuck it up, because you are ultimately responsible for them”. Julie has never forgotten that. And it’s from that mindset that she developed her group coaching sessions.

When Julie became a life coach Minneapolis MN she knew she wanted to create group coaching sessions via zoom or in person to help as many people realize and learn that there is a new way to do life by creating a safe space where people share with each other what’s working and what’s not. Surprisingly, or not, most people, have the same issues. Whether issues involve family members or other types of relationships, issues of employment and financing, health, avoidance, procrastination or wrong assumptions, group coaching sessions can be a powerful tool to help anyone can unstuck and into a new way of thinking and living.

People want to feel like they are connected to, part of and valued as a  member of a group. Julie brings her years of experience as a co-facilitator of a women’s support group for women who have family members dealing with addiction to her Realtor group life coaching sessions. Julie knows how fulfilling it is for the group participants to experience true community through trust and the ability to be vulnerable. Participants that are willing to explore why and how they do the things they do and to do the work to make sustainable changes for the better benefit greatly from group life coaching.

Julie has weekly 90 minute group coaching sessions via Zoom. This gives the participants time to discuss issues they may be facing with the group and then there is a topic of discussion that the participants have worked on from the prior week (the homework or action items). As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie firmly believes in the power of group life coaching!

Who would be a good candidate for a group coaching session? Great question! The easy answer is anyone. But, the people that thrive in group coaching sessions are, generally, people that are comfortable sharing, but not dominating, in the group.

As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie has facilitated many groups over the years. She believes the key to a really good, productive group is, (of course the participants), the balance of participation from the group members. As a facilitator, Julie believes her role is to guide the group where it needs to go depending on who is attending. A really good group also has a deep level of trust in order for true vulnerability to take place. Just like any group, it takes time to develop the deep level of trust needed for the group to thrive.  However, once achieved, a type of group can be life changing for the participants.  Ask Julie how she knows.

So who should not consider group coaching sessions? Generally speaking, someone who cannot see themselves trusting the rest of the group enough to share or someone who is so introverted that the thought of sharing their thoughts and feelings, even on a surface level, probably would not enjoy the group coaching experience.  For everyone else, go for it!

Julie's Coaching Journey

Her Vision

Life coaching is about looking inside and seeing what’s there. All of it. The good, the bad and the ugly. When someone looks inside and identifies areas in their life they would like to change, if often comes with roadblocks to change. That feeling of “being stuck” can be hard to change. How many times have you heard someone say “if I knew how to change, I would!”? Julie Beneke, the owner of Good Seeds Life Coaching, had been feeling a pull to make a change in her life. She just did not know how, or what, to change. She knew what she enjoyed and what she was passionate about. She just did not know how to parlay that into a new career. A friend of hers asked Julie if she’d ever considered becoming a life coach Minneapolis MN. That started her on this new path of Good Seeds Life Coaching. Julie has been a full time Realtor since 2008 and has experienced the stresses of life changes. With this knowledge, she helps people recapture their passion and purpose by looking at and exploring wrong assumptions, limiting beliefs, procrastination, putting systems in place and identifying negative self-talk. As a Life Coach Minneapolis MN, Julie helps people reach to be their best. Julie had a real AH-HA moment when a Realtor friend of hers mentioned they wished they had a purpose in life. This was a very successful Realtor and Julie was surprised that they felt like they had no purpose. As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie knew she could help that friend rediscover their passion and purpose. And Good Seeds Life Coaching was born!In a recent conversation with a successful business owner, Julie asked the business owner what challenges they were currently facing. The answer did not surprise her: lead generation, boundaries and systems. Most business owners believe they must be available whenever someone contacts them. By having a great session with her client, Julie, as their life coach Minneapolis MN, was able to have the client look at what areas in their life they currently had no boundaries and where appropriate and healthy boundaries could be implemented. It was an insightful session for the client. Lots of “connecting the dots”. The other area of the client’s life that caused them stress was a lack of systems. The client mentioned that they just went from one fire to the next. By working on the Systems tool exercise, the client was able to see where they could make changes to be more proactive, work differently, and be more effective in their business. The client was able to see why their passion was waning. They simply didn’t have the mental, emotional or physical stamina to continue. Business as usual just was not working any more. This is one way Julie stays current with her Life Coach Minneapolis MN business: having conversations on what really matters to her clients and where they need the most, immediate life coaching.Julie has also attended a women's support group, Women of Worth, for the past 8 years and has been co-facilitating the group for the past 5 years. This support group is designed to help women, whose family members are in addiction, thrive, not just survive, challenging life situations by exploring boundaries, co-dependency and enabling. Julie dealt with this very issue in her own life when her fiancée confessed he was an alcoholic. However, he wasn’t ready to seek help or sobriety. Julie joined Women of Worth to learn how to manage a life with an addict. She learned so much about herself! Specifically, about boundaries and how healthy good boundaries are. Once Julie started her life coach Minneapolis MN program, she realized she had been “unofficially” life coaching the women of the support group for years. She just didn’t know it. It has been a natural progression for her to life coach Minneapolis MN women who are dealing with family members who have addiction issues. They tell you in Life Coaching school that you will be your first client. . . . and they are correct. Deciding to become a life coach Minneapolis MN was a great decision for Julie. And, it showed her the areas where she had wrong assumptions, perspectives, limited beliefs and negative self-talk. She learned first hand the power of life coaching by being life coached by her classmates. Julie learned multiple tools to help her clients identify harmful behaviors and negative thought patterns. Some of her favorite tools are Future Self and Inner Critic. By using a series of powerful questions, Julie was able to explore her emotions and feelings on a deeper level. Trusting herself and the life coach Minneapolis MN process gave her the tools needed to make positive changes in her life in order to thrive, not just survive. That’s the power of life coach Minneapolis MN.Why is Julie and Good Seeds Life Coaching effective as a life coach Minneapolis, MN? Testimonials

Thriving, not just surviving. From failing to flourishing. From feeling stuck to feeling free.  From being confused to clarity of mind. From misunderstood to understood. From no boundaries to healthy boundaries! That’s the power of Life Coaching!

Everyone is looking for something. From financial success to climbing the corporate ladder and promotions at work to a happy marriage and children to good health to connection and community. Life coaching can help in each and every one of these areas.

Through the power of life coaching, lives are changed for the better for our clients. As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie’s goal is to help her clients thrive, not just survive.  How? By helping her clients solve a problem they did not even know they had. See, the client is the expert in their own life. As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie just comes alongside her clients to help them connect the dots. And when those dots get connected, great things happen!

At the end of a recent session, one of Julie’s clients shared that they had just experienced a "tattoo session”. When Julie inquired what exactly that meant, her client explained that they had recently learned about “tattoo sessions” as a session that is so life changing the client wants to get the date tattooed on their body. Now that is a powerful and impactful session!

Julie. as a life coach Minneapolis MN, has worked with many satisfied clients but no other client has said they have a tattoo session. However, it is often very obvious when a client has a life altering AH HA moment. What makes an AH HA moment? The willingness of the client to do the work of exploration into whatever issue they want to address.

See, in life coaching the client is the expert. The life coach Minneapolis MN just helps guide the client where they want to go.

Julie recently had a client that was looking to start a whole new career and their very own business.  They were really stepping out in faith for this new endeavor. Each week they explored what would need to take place for the business to be a success and who the ideal customer would be, along with where to find them. Julie’s client started their marketing efforts and waited for the inquiries (and customers) to come in.

And the inquiries did start to come in! But, week after week, Julie’s client found an excuse to not respond to these potential new customers.  It quickly became apparent that the issue wasn’t how to drum up business.  The issue was something deeper inside Julie’s client.  Possibly a limiting belief or a wrong assumption.

Julie asked the client if she could make an observation. The client agreed. Julie asked the client if they would be willing to explore what that deeper issue was as to why the client would not make those calls.  The client said yes and so they began a journey of exploration, because, in life coaching, the client is the expert. The client, sometimes, needs to be willing to look at hard things.

During the very next life coaching session, when Julie asked the client what they would like to discuss, they said “why I will not pick up the phone and call these potential new customers back.”  Through a series of powerful questions, Julie and the client were able to dig into the client’s fear that if they actually spoke to someone, that person on the other end of the phone would know Julie’s client was a fraud, a “newbie”, someone without enough experience to actually earn that person’s business. Through the process of asking powerful questions, the client started to dig into that fear. They started examining their past professional experiences. Had they talked to potential new customers in past positions? Yes, all the time. Did they always have the right answer? Were they always the most seasoned and experienced salesperson available? No. Did that matter? Not really. The more calls they made, the more experience they got.

The first “dot” the client connected was that they were looking at this new position through the lens of a kid, fresh out of college with no experience. How inaccurate was that? Very.  The client had years of experience and they genuinely enjoyed speaking with customers. Julie helped the client see that they were experienced at speaking to customers, problem solving and providing great customer service.

The second “dot” that the client connected was that they were not confident in their 30 second elevator speech, so instead of fumbling over their words, they avoided making the calls. The client realized they could tell themselves they had a great product until they started picking up the phone and people began to say NO.

As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie helped her client craft their 30 second elevator pitch to where they were fully confident in what they were selling. The client quickly overcame the mindset of “not being or knowing enough.” There was an immediate shift in the client’s demeanor. They looked lighter, they had a smile on their face and they were confident. Because this client was willing to look at some deeply long held limiting beliefs and values, they were able to overcome and thrive, not just survive!

Most of Julie’s clients deal with wrong assumptions, limited beliefs, negative self talk and imposter syndrome. As a life coach Minneapolis MN, Julie loves seeing her clients connect the dots in order to thrive, not just survive!

I highly recommend Julie for anyone looking to grow and improve their business strategy. She has helped me clarify my goals and dramatically improved my confidence, prospecting, and closing techniques. She truly cares about your personal and professional growth.   Fran
